I guess I don't understand what the problem with the Phenom is. Assuming you aren't o/c, because of the L3 problem, they are a decent chip for the price. The 2.3GHz hangs pretty good with the Q6600 when both are at stock speeds - and it's $40 less.

a lot of the pcs in the Best Buy ad last week had Phenom cpus in them to. I think they were mainly HP. Many more advertised than Intel cpus.
