Does Windows XP SP3 help out anything

I notice that the Windows XP Service pack 3 Release Candidate is out ,and was wondering how many people are useing it ,and does it improve anything .

I can't tell.

I do get dcom errors from time to time in event viewer.

But im running much better hardwrae too on this box so not sure.

I would like to know if SP3 fixes the dualcore patches needed for AMD when setting the registry for throttle to balance dualcores using winxp.

Well SP3 is the last big pack, so they better fix all the stuff now, cause I know for sure they still gonna need to release fixes after the release of SP3 (e.g. Windows 2000 SP4, normally a fifth would be released, but they didn't)
