Just wanted some opinions on this ram.

It's OCZ DDR2-800 in 2 x 2GB sticks for about $100.
Timings are 4-4-4-15.
One review said they had it running 4-4-4-12 1T.
I could see the heatpipe possibly being an issue on some boards the CPU heatsink, but the ram itself sounds pretty good. I'm thinking about making a backup Q6600 rig with some of these in it for right now (Possible server/game rig) and just wondered if anyone has the reaper sticks or know of something similar that is better. I've been using OCZ ram in all of my pcs lately and haven't had any issues, so I think I'm going to continue with OCZ ram.

that is pretty nice, I don't know about the cooler on em tho...
have you considered the 2x2gb g.skill kit on newegg (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231145)?

hmm, those do look decent. I've been debating of whether to keep the tighter timings or try to go for the higher speeds. IIRC Intel prefers the higher speeds so the slight loss in timings on those will be more than made up by the increase in speed.
I haven't had any experience with G.Skill but those do look nice. I was looking at another pair of OCZ's at that speed, and they are probably rated the same but are more $$$ than those.

They should be 5-5-5-15 I think as OCZ's site doesn't show the last number for the 4GB kit, but the 2GB and 1GB kits are both 5-5-5-15. http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memory/ocz_ddr2_pc2_8000_4gb_platinum_edition_dual_channe l

Check out the GSkill PC21000 4gb dual channel kit. Its for $114 on Newegg. I have one kit right now but i'm waiting for the other kit and my mobo to show up. I hear its quite the overclocker too.
just remember that these sticks run above stock voltage, so make sure your mobo supports changing RAM voltage.

I hope with a Quad core and 8GB of ram TDU will run okay. Coupled with 8800GTX SLI of course. ;) :D

I just bought 4GB of this RAM. According to Anandtech, this RAM runs great on the Striker II with QX9650.
