DV setting will not stick in Vista 64 with this set for me. I adjust the slider, hit apply, but it resets itself to 0 immediately. Also, fan speed stuck at 100% for both of my 8800GT's. I used the nVidia system tool (the newest version of beta 6) to adjust both to 40% and all is well.

1. WTF those min fps @ frame 1790 with 169.32.
I only noticed the drop checking the logs. I ran it again and it didn't feel like 2fps at that frame, so I just ignored it as it wouldn't affect average fps.
On 169.09 min was around 9fps, don't have the benchmark log anymore tho

2. Max fps dropped from 169.32 to 171.16, BUT the average fps increase was awesome.

I really can't wait to see the DX10 64bit performance for the 173.xx series.

I'm gonna test GoW/UT3 to check for any DX9 annoyance. If none, I'm gonna stick with these till 173.xx or updated 171.xx.

Yay! Vsync still broken with FSX. Way to go nvidia!

And I love those crazy flashing taxiways. Man, this is the way it's meant to be played.

/end sarcasm

Nvidia, you are now officialy a bunch of fgn morons and you are wearing on my last nerve now.

Digital Vibrance work with these?

I think that they need to devote more manpower to writting drivers, and working out bugs......

The 64bit drivers seem to work well in BF2142. I also get the 100% default fan speed with my XFX 8800GT xxx OC. That's fine with me because the 29% fan speed is useless with my card except for brousing the internet. My Riva Tuner profiles still work without making any changes. Will test other games later today.

With 169.32 it wouldn't stick when you first moved the slider, but upon reboot, it would be at the level you set. Idk if these are the same, going to install them real quick.

I see no issues with them so far. And it's great to have profiles working again

It's not even an official Beta. Don't get so worked up.

With all due respect, I don't care if it's official or not. The FSX Acceleration expansion pack was released in October, 2007. The developer, ACES, directly contacted microsoft in Oct. There's been around 10 drivers released since then.

IF they spent even a fraction of the time they wasted inside crisis's ass they could have easily fixed it.

And how the hell do you break a thing like Vsync that has worked since the first vista driver? It's just shoddy work.

Nvidia doesn't give a **** about FSX. All they want is to capture headlines with a 5fps increase in Crysis. I guess we may get a decent FSX driver around the time of Flight Sim 11's release if we are lucky and fondle nvidia's nuts. It should be noted that ATI users do not have flashing taxiways, broken vsync, or gimpy cp AA in FSX. I'd be happy if vsync and the taxiway flashing alone were fixed.

I gotta agree with Lith1um here Nv's support for FSX stinks
also add those problems listed above these other "NV only" bugs to be found in FSX

Stutter/frame skipping ever 30/40 seconds under DX10 mode
CTD/freezes when accessing inflight menus in fullscreen mode
Flashing on/off apha/light textures depending on camera view angle DX10 mode

I think its a ****ing joke that Nv has ignored there driver problems with FSX for the last 4 months but UT3 & Crysis get any number of fixs and tweaks within days or weeks or release.
Maybe Aces should add a benchmark mode to FS11 as it seems thats the only way to get any attention or bug fixes from Nv's driver team these days....slack

I love this driver! Not for the crysis gain though.
My eve online FPS went from 110ish to over 150 in space with these wich is quite a ridiculously high increase. (nana2)

Fan stuck at 100% on my gtx. Screw it. I removed them and went with 169.28 beta instead.

DX10 for FSX is not finalized so it's not Nvidia's fault and you should be aware that DX10 is a "preview" so basically it's a beta at this point. Wait until SP3 is released for more stable DX10 feature for FSX.

And you can see a difference between 110 and 150 fps???!?!???!!

I would just enable vsync and get rid of all the tearing you are going to be seeing.

This driver along with the beta ntune are working great for me.

By the way, the beta ntune fans ettings stick after reboot now.

verncat

I could get the fans speeds to stick after a warm reboot, but they would default to 100% on a cold boot. I went back to the .32's for now. I did like the driver, though, when I had it installed.
