View Full Version : WTTF: Abit IC7-G or Max 3
Im looking to get one of these motherboards. I have a 3ghz P4 here i want to put in it and run it on my server here at the house.
Anyone have an IC7-G or MAX III laying around?
The only thing i have to trade would be CoD 4 and a 3.4ghz LGA 775 Pentium 4 650 processor. If you dont want either of that then how much would you want for your board?

well you need to sell them first and offer to trade them second.
make sure you set a price too.

Not that this helps your search but I recently sold a Non-Working Abit Max III board on Ebay for $80 shipped. Incredible how worthy of a reputation these boards hold on the socket 478 platform, one of the best boards I ever owned

My wife's computer is still rocking my second IC7-G. I broke my first one but the 2nd one is still going strong.
Unfortunately, I can't part with it as I don't have anything to replace it with.
just out of curiosity, how much would you be willing to pay for it? I see amazon has them for $300. WOW
Edit: I may part with it and 1.5 gigs of ram and the 2.4C that's been clocked at 3.3ghz for 3 years now for around that price.

i don't understand, if you can sell here why cant we buy?
I wouldnt be paying that much for it especially 300 dollars. The thing about the IC7 Max III is Abit seems to have forgotten it ever existed. I remember it having voltage problems and they never seemed to get it worked out. If you go to the socket 478 section you dont even see the Max III listed...just the IC7-G which was the Max 2.
Im looking pretty much to just trade for the board. Anything over 50 is way too much in my opinion for that board...and even at 50 it better be in perfect shape with all its accessories and the box included. I mean lets face it...it uses DDR1 its socket 478. Intel doesnt make these processors anymore, the ram is no longer wanted as now they are switching to DDR3. High retail prices for this board (that isnt even in manufacturing anymore) is just crazy.
Im happy though you found an idiot on ebay though to pay 80 dollars for a non working one though. I wish i could find someone to spend that much money on something that old and not even working :)
If anyone wants to trade me or at least sell a board for around 30 let me know :)
