I just got a new WRTN150 linksys and well all my sharing kept working like normal.

Now I wanted to try share files between my laptop(vista ulti) and desktop pc(xp pro). First bought could not find each other in there network places. Okido after checkign firewall, access restrictions,.... I installed the LLTD protocol or something that was required on my xp pro.

Now bought xp and vista see each other but cant access each other. For example vista network map looks like
http://img171.imageshack.us/my.php?image=wirelessvs6.jpg
I can not click on the pc connect to the switch(WRTN150N ethernetports)

Now the funny thing is when insert my laptop into one of the ethernet ports everything works fine and get a network map like this
http://img101.imageshack.us/my.php?image=ethernetcy3.jpg
Here I can just click on my desktop pc in the list and share opens of desktop.

Then i tryed to get it to work true wireless but kep get errors in xp that it couldnt find vista(while beeing listed in found pcs), and in vista I wasnt even allowed to click the desktop pc item.

Now the funiest thing is I could let them ping each other then i decide to just go into a explorer and type \\<ip adress>\<shared folder>. And THIS WORKED , this make no sense to me WHAT so ever and the first thing i thuaght was DNS ????? but i mean wtf

Why on earth would it be possible to have share working with ethernet true
clicking and \\computername\sharemap
and when i go wireless only option that works is \\ipadress\sharemap
