Fantastic speed increases in Crysis DX10 (15% higher FPS, 30% in complex scenes), DiRT (5%), Test Drive Unlimited (15%) and UT3 Engine Games in DX9 (15%) with these babies compared to 169.04. Geforce 8800 Intel Core2 Duo Vista.

Did you test this yourself? It won't be long until newer drives than even these are out with some new 9 series cards.

Vr-zone also sees a similar performance increase of 20% in crysis, going from 20 to 24 frames per second in the benchmark. The article below convinced me to try out the drivers.

AngelGraves13, I generated these numbers by my own benchmarks with FRAPS. Note I saw little perf increases with Crysis in DX9. In Bioshock and UT I was getting about 15% more frames in DX9 mode. I tried bioshock in DX10 with the new drivers and there was no change. Bioshock, which has always been much faster in DX9 mode, is now faster for me with 4XAA, than DX10 mode with no FSAA! The UT3 engine was not optimized well for DX10 (and still does not support FSAA).

Also saw a 20% increase in frames in the Sega Rally Revo demo.

Thanks for testing! I doubt I'll see much benefits as I'm on a series 7 card, but it's worth a shot I suppose. I'll wait for the official ones which should be out next month or this month.

I tried these out just to see. Bugs everywhere. The profiles are not working correctly. They stick if you can get the settings to work out. Its hard to explain but it doesn't work right. Also I found that some games (Painkiller) would only run up to a resolution of 1440x900 after I installed these. Quite weird.

Crysis was significantly negatively affected. Performance nose dived in DX10. Single digit FPS from low 20's. Very bad.

COD4 was dipping into the 30s with these online, usually I never dip below 60s in extreme firefights online.

Crysis is FINALLY playable and smooth at 1680x1050 2xAA!(nana2)

Haven't tried any other games yet. I will throw in Bioshock and will play some online COD4 and see if there is a negative change.
