The score is indeed by lesser chip makers. It's the new intteration of Number Nine S9 4D graphics Chip recently acquired by Nvidia.:afro:

Well I'm pondering ;)
I would hazard towards 'He's avin a laugh' but... well they, nv, were promising 3x the shader performance with the NV35 over the NV30 and that would tally up with the scores. But that's more or less public domain info now. So it could be fake or nvidia got lucky again.

the 18k or 25k or whatever 3dmark scores come to mind in reference to the nv30 :)

PLEASE don't turn this into a Rampage thread. Please! Think about the children!
On the other hand, Sazar is probably right, lower resolution...

Come on. We are serious here.
Lets put up something informative.

well I just thought it is possible... seeing as I don't have the pro version I don't know...
the thing is though... that would make the game test 1 sort of limited to an extent... in that it does not scale well... in comparison to the others...
just look @ the scores.. tripling in other tests and not doing much in gt1... a bit odd...

If this indeed a fake, then it is not good for NVIDIA.
Please don't do it.

Ooh, Rampage... OK, OK put down the axe and back away from my head :D
It's tempting though. Isn't it ;)

in what way would this be bad for nvidia ?
this is a preview for a card that can't be in final silicon revision form...
perhaps something to do with the nv35... possibly.. but not the nv40... and it would appear to be fubar... or low resolution testing...

OK. I'd go for NV35 probably running 1024x768. They've disengaged the integer units from the floating point part.
They have *somehow* managed to really optimise the FP power and we're seeing the first effect of the, what will be, new Det 50's.
They've also really got to grips with what the extra available bandwidth can do for shader through put.

I mean if this post is a fake, then it is not good for NVIDIA.
Because people will have high expectations.
And they will get disappointed if the expectations never met.

Ok informative it is. :)
It might be one of the newest cards either The FX ultra or Radeon 9800 Ultra along with Pentium IV 3.0 (800Mhz bus). All this setup being LN2 cooled :) Hey If I were trying to impress somone with a score I would use an LN2 setup even for one benchmark. With LN2 you could make the Pentium IV run at 4Ghz (or AMD Barton @ 3.2 GHz which has been done.) then just cool down the cards and bring them to near 600 Mhz (for ATI) and 800 Mhz (for NVIDIA).
Hell all you could do is let LN2 vapor just blow on the setup, you don't have to submerge the system. Make an enclosure, pump out the air first (doesn't have to be low something around .2 Atm) then just blow the system through with Helium gas in order to remove any remaining air and reduce water vapor, then cool it down with LN2 (positive LN2 pressure will keep air from getting back in, yes you have to start pumping the air out then during the process introduce LN2, after a few mintues continue the LN2 flow but shut off the pump and remove it so now only LN2 is flowing out of the enclosure). You can also use a thermocouple to monitor the temp inside. The system will freeze but since LN2 is an inert gas it will not short circuit the boards as long as there is virtually no water vapor present (there will always be some but if done carefully it will be highly unlikelly that it might short things, aftearll you will shut off the pc before any ice formation begin melting, yes I know the heatsink is hot et all but hopefully with Ln2 blowing at it, it wont incrase in T above -50). If I had time on my hands I would probably do that since Ln2 costs about a buck a liter, Helium although it much much much more expenisve.
Cheers,

I thought 3DMark03 default resolution is indeed 1024x768?
If this score isn't fake, and it is the NV35 then it is very highly optimized and efficient.
And I'm amazed by its driver team.

whatever the card is I want it! :)
I am not posting at RAge3d with answers cause I want to keep my post count at 999 (so I won't get the avatar yet...savoring the moment. :) )

ROFLMFAO~~~~~
Yeah, it's a big moment...but you get over it by the third or fourth time, by number 5 it was getting old hat. ;)
Hey Requiem, I think we're all due for a bit more of a tease. We've gotten some decent explanations as to how you might have gotten that screenie without a miracle wondercard....time to put up another nibblet to keep us guessing. :)
BTW-I know it's asking a lot, but what driver version was that test run on? :eek2:

No possible way I can give out the driver version, but I probably should have titled this thread something else.
Anyway, to quell at least 1 rumour here is a second screenshot which is what the first one should have shown. This is ALL, however, I am not posting anything else on this thread about this, I've risked severe sack beatings to give out this much. :o

so where is the second screenshot ?

I decided to remove both pictures before someone figures out whose hardware this is and I get sack beaten by a pack of lawyers with NDA whips (the worst kind.) Besides, I realized the 2nd one looked photoshopped because of the JPG conversion, if I am allowed to post scores again i will post in PNG.
One of you all can repost the first screen if you want, I had to remove it from my posts, however.

It's Parhelia 2.
Too bad it will cost about 700$00...
These scores weren't supposed to be out until may 26th!
pm's will do well :)
if you can :)

SCREENSHOT BEFORE ME BRAIN EXPLODES!!!!!!!
(Thanks for all the info, BTW. I really am enjoying the speculation possibilities.....Sabre? ;) )

I generally avoid PMs with this sort of thing, people always twist words/make up complete nonsense/misquote when I do.

How do you figure? Could you elaborate a bit please?
EDITED BITS: Oh yeah, 700 DOLLARS FOR A FREAKING VIDDY CARD?!?!!? PLEASE TELL ME THAT AIN'T IN US DOLLARS!!!!!!!
Sorry for all the shouting, I just keep getting excited. ;)

Wow, i feel i missed out on this thread.
But id like to point out 2 things that could easily be done to make picutre perfect.
First, useing API calls from Visual Basic (or better language, im useing VB as an example for how easy it is) once you get the handle of anything in windows, you can change any attribute of it.
So baiscly, i could make a crappy VB program, run 3dmark03, fire it up and change all the score results. then it will be perfect, no signs of photoshop.
Second, the more complicated way would be to edit the memory to the value you want................ Really dose the same thing, just harder.
But i am compelled to belive they 'could' be real because of the first test.
My Radeon 9800Pro laughs at it, its clearly CPU limited.....
and i have a second possibility why there would be no 'rumors' of a NV40 tape out.
Lets say of the current sources are at TMSC, but its almost confirmed that NV40 would tape out at IBM. Untill a month ago we didnt even know they were shceeming with IBM!
But the truth probly is, even if everything somehow went perfectly, i doubt they could get a tape out, to run at the targed speed to get that score : O
