Could it be a program running in the background and disabling some of the rendering? guess we all seen the flaw in 3DMark2001 - could there be similar scenario?
It's still fun to think of the R8500 and Athlon 1xxx SD-RAM rig that scored 16xx :afro:

Is this card available now?
No. Won't be out for ages yet.
AFAIK, it's not a supertiling/AFR/SLI solution of any kind.
It's not 3DHQ's "Revenge" either, LOL. :D

See, again that hints at my answer. But if you notice, the name of Mufu's repost of the screen is "kept_this_very_hush-hush.jpg" which wouldn't fit with my guess.

Oh I knew about the release of a "new" card in June about 2 weeks ago. :) I can't post everything I hear. :D That would be cool if it was a Matrox product! If all three companies released a card that was just as fast as each other. I would go with Matrox. :)

MuFu.
so it is a card that will be brought to the market at some time, and not some super overclocked sample?

hahahaha.... I need to follow my instincts more often.
Rather than that question, I was going to ask:
If the card isnt next gen, does that mean its PAST next gen?
Damn you MuFu :fu:
After seeing what people at DH said, then thinking about it a little bit.. im convinced the pic is fake
First off.. the pic shows the score, detailed score, etc and they all match.. looks good, but its hiding the res?
the pic the dude has of the res isnt shown cuz it looks doctored.. All he would have to do would be to run it at default then photoshop the score and not show the details.. Showing the score + res in one pic and the score + details in another pic IMHO proves its hiding something..
If it was beyond next gen they wouldn't even have samples stable enough to run 3dMark. Remember, "next gen" is the likes of NV40 and whatever ATi is planning. Beyond that is... RAMPAGE!!!! :rofl

No, it means it's a current generation, DirectX 9 class chip.

Damn it, someone shut off access to me yahoo briefcase-thingy!
I'm attached the damned pict to this post for those interested. ;)
This isnt a new card from 3dlabs(creative) is it? Its about time they had a new architecture design out.
MuFu has already added it on the previous page.
EDIT: Whoops.

Has 3dlabs brought out a card this year?
And one question for MuFu.... when was the last time the maker of this card released a video card?
2003

Ok, im not totaly sure what your saying (did he cheat or did he doctor the pic?). But if your saying he cheated by lowering the res\details, here is a way to check it:
Find someone with an R9700 Pro or an FX5800 Ultra. Have them lower all of their details and then run 3dmark. Then we'd know if its possible to get an awesome score like that by cheating.

clearlly base on all this speculation i have to speculate it has to be the r390 its not next gen or nv35,40 and with .13 micro process "could do something like this" but hell it will have to run at insane gpu mhz speeds

I still have something in the back of my mind that tells me it could just be some insanely OC'ed system.
3dlabs just made a 512mb version of their top wildcat card earlier in the year, creative may have pushed them to produce a consumer card, since creative to the best of my knowledge hasnt released any dx9 cards from either nvidia or ATi designs. After all isnt this why they bought out 3dlabs in the first place?!?

If you look at the score closely, you'll see it almost CANNOT be an overclocked card on an overclocked CPU.
Game 1 is mostly fill rate limited, so if it were an overclocked GF FX of Radeon, the score for Game1 would be through the roof.
Here, it is barely superior to the current ones.
This would show a similar architecture (8 pipelines) for the pixel rate (8x1 or 8x2?)
On the other hand, G2, G3 and G4 are 2 to 3 times faster, that means mostly lots of bandwidth and much faster shader units.
Seems really too fast for NV35. As people say, it seems early to see nv40, although switching to IBM may help.
It would be great if a new player would enter the market. Or an old one coming back... :D
Matrox could have that possibility. They just annonced the refresh of their workstationline, they could also have done work on their 3D line ()
Anyway, all that is purely conjecture on a unconfirmed screenshot.
but it is FUN!
I really can't see it being anything but the ATi i suggested earlier. It's not the NV30/35, it's not R300/350, it's not NV40 (apparently), and it seems an impossible score to achieve just through overclocking. That leaves the R390, something from Matrox, or something from 3dLabs.
And i can't see either of those last two pulling something this fast out of the hat. I say ATi but i want it to be someone else, to shake it up a little.
BTW, if this is either a) fake, b) a lie, or c) something completely unreasonable (i.e. some workstation card) then someone is gonna pay.
trust me GT1 is CPU limited

Why doesn't someone with a 9800Pro do a bench at 640x480 and post what they get, just for comparisons sake.
This thread is hilarious. :D
