This guy is a troll, this was definitely done at a low resolution, search his name on the hardforum he loves to start flamewars... I've almost thought it was Goldentiger on a comeback a few times. I am sure he isn't "in the know" with the intelligence level he has.
Don't fall for it... if it was someone else I would speculate, just not him..
/edit here is one of many of the threads for the lazy

and I'll laugh knowing that according to respected developers, dx9 pixel processing power will change with new drivers, ESPECIALLY on the NV30
<sighs at some of the people on this forum now>
ok, I might have been slightly off, exact quote:
The reason for this is that ATI does everything at high precision all the
time, while Nvidia internally supports three different precisions with
different performances. To make it even more complicated, the exact
precision that ATI uses is in between the floating point precisions offered by
Nvidia, so when Nvidia runs fragment programs, they are at a higher precision
than ATI's, which is some justification for the slower speed. Nvidia assures
me that there is a lot of room for improving the fragment program performance
with improved driver compiler technology.

Ok MuFu,
Its an overclocked R350 running on low resolution OR
R390 at 1024x768.
Neither. It's a big bag of bollocks, lol.
I am quite suprised anybody thought this was genuine, even momentarily!

Ok, can go to sleep ....
:o
Mike, if you're in Malaysia that makes the time about 7-8am in the morning, right?!
I decided to remove both pictures before someone figures out whose hardware this is and I get sack beaten by a pack of lawyers with NDA whips (the worst kind.) Besides, I realized the 2nd one looked photoshopped because of the JPG conversion, if I am allowed to post scores again i will post in PNG.
No on the confirmation as well, this can't break out any further than msg board speculation right now. If it did people would be lining up to rape me.
He didn't do himself any favours. :D

Impressive, now all we have to do is figure out how to squeeze an R350 into a mobile phone and we'd be well away :D

I am SO disillusioned right now, I really am. :(
I'm gonna go pout for a while and virtually kill things. :( :(
I wouldn't be suprised if R390 turns out to be capable of ~10k@1024x768x32, overclocked on a fast CPU. Chin-up, lad! ;)

Yep, in less than 10 hours! Now expect some 2 or 3 more pages with posts whose content will be:
1) Insulting poor requiem99
2) Disapointment for all this thing being a complete fake
Didn't anyone even notice that in the first page requiem99 never said the results were from a new graphics card?
Besides, his message in the first post was to say what the performance of the NV40 should be!
The first one assuming that those results were from an "unknown" chip was digitalwanderer, and then everyone followed his trail! ^^;
Well, it sure was fun while it lasted :D
Just to think that those results were obtained with a sub-$200 video card! (he is using a software-modded R9500 non-pro)

uhm... am I the only person who doesnt like being dragged around in circles for nothing?
The only reason I was here was because you guys said it was something real. Whats really sad is that this was on the main news page. This is the kind of crap that belongs in the Rumor Mill and only in the Rumor Mill (NOT THE MAIN NEWS PAGE), I had stuff to do, but since this was such an interesting topic, I hang around the forums to learn more.
What a total waste of my time.
BTW, im not totaly bitter about this... im not going to flame away for 10 more pages. Im just used to coming to nVnews and reading about the REAL news on the news page, I didnt expect to be chatting about something interesting while the few people who knew what was going on laughed at us.
Please dont do that again nVnews, leave the crap in the crap forum. Dont trick the readers into thinking its true.
It was interesting reading thread till it was proved fake. Would really be nice to have 10-11k scores in 3D Mark2003.
