Description
In a financial conference call Activision revealed several details about their plans for their 2009 fiscal year which runs from April 2008 to March 2009.

Within that time span, a new Call Of Duty title will be released for PC, Xbox 360, PS3, DS, PS2 and Wii. A new Spiderman game will also be released as well a sequel to Marvel: Ultimate Alliance.

Activision also revealed that one of their top priorities for their next fiscal year is to revamp the Tony Hawk's skateboarding franchise which has lost ground to EA's Skate in 2007.

Finally, Activision confirmed that their top secret James Bond game will be released "in conjunction with" 007's next movie, Quantum of Solace, which will be released on November 7, 2008. Two new Guitar Hero sequels are planned too

Me thinks the call of duties are getting to be a bit much.

I'm more interested in Call of Duty 6. We need a real Solider of Fortune game. :( Otherwise, nothing of their announcement that I'm interested except the new Bond game... it might be good.

Call of Duty 5 will be made by Treyarch.

CoD6, if it happens will probably be back to IW, unless they get pissed off at Activision like they did at EA for whoring out their IPs enough to leave them, which I can understand.

I'm down!

They can keep this franchise alive till the end of time as far as I'm concerned. :D

Or at least until they break the MP.

I just feel after so many sequels, you should drop the numbering scheme.

Part 15, 16, etc.

Start doing things like Call of Duty : Pacific War Front, Call of Duty : Same sh*t different engine, etc.

Drop the numbering

QFT. It seems like they are releasing them left and right.

I've never played one of them so I couldn't say, but are they that good?

yup they are, first time I tried CoD1 I felt like I was in the war itself, the sound was just amazing along with its gameplay. I havent tried CoD4 other then the demo, the enemy respawn they introduced turned me off, I liked the feel of accomplishment from the other games. CoD1 and 2 were my fav. I hear a lot of good things from CoD4 mp though.

COD 1 & 2 are awsome single player games, two of the best ever .. COD 3 i couldent really get into it wasent as good as 1 & 2 imo, COD4 rocks, great singleplayer just alittle short and the MP is awsome as well! ...... loving the MP at the moment.

I thought the enemy respawn was really evident in COD1, also the fact that your allies respawned was extremely obvious in that one too.

COD2 I just felt was long and boring.

COD3 was less boring but had a lot of dumb / broken elements, such as watching several minutes of video each time you wanted to load a level that was horribly acted and you couldn't skip past.

I think COD4 was best. It's shorter but much sweeter than any other COD, plus the MP game elements of unlocking weapons is cool, even if you only ever need the M16A4.

Yep all of CoD1,2 & 4 are great. (never tired 3 since it was console only).

Call of Duty 3 was a soap-opera.

As said, COD, COD2 and COD4 were all amazing... If 5 is by that spin-off group I wonder why it's getting a PC release... 3 didn't. Oh well... either way, I can't wait 'til Infinity Ward's next game, be it Call of Duty 6 or something different.

Sounds good from what some of you guys posted. I might have to check out the earlier verisions and get caught up.

if Treyarch is working on it, don't expect anything good.

As long as they don't take COD too far into the future with unrealistic weapons I don't care what era they warp to.

the call of duty series lost a player when it left WWII

And gained like two million.

So following the pattern, this next COD should have about 3-4 hours of SP.

+1 ... the WWII style of 1,2 & 3 where cool BUT was getting alittle boring i feel! ... COD4 hit the nail on the head imo.
