These drivers have the Best IQ for 2-d I've seen yet, everything looks incredibly detailed and sharp with these, video looks amazing! Will test with 3-d in the morning.

Went from 171.16 to these; nhancer profiles are still working and I no longer need to have Rivatuner tone the fan speed down at startup. Looks like a keeper.

169.38 is still the newest (by date = 01/30/2008) compared to all the releases lately, including this one.
I have to correct this... date is not everything to compare.

If you take the fact, that you cannot force AA in the game profiles and some profiles are missing or not changed, you can say, that these drivers (169.38) were only compiled at 1/30/2008...

So we have to say, that 169.38 comes from an dead-end brunch of developed driver, only fixing the single game "pirates of the sea" (or so ;-)... coming from the 169.2x (with broken profile AA).

171.16 (1/3/2008) and 171.17 WHQL (1/5/2008) could be older of course (but don't have to be), 169.32 (1/9/2008) should be newer (working profile AA, advanced predefined profiles). In addition 169.61 WHQL (1/16/2008) is the newest 169' driver available and this driver 171.23 (1/27/2008) is the 'newest' 171'. But please keep in mind, that 169' and 171' (also 173' for mobiles) are coming from different development brunches...

Razor

By the way... the 171.23 are keepers for me - stable and fast (except of HL2: LC and LP demo).

I've tested these thoroughly with Unreal Tournament 3, and I'm averaging about 64fps. I have a chart comparing this to 171.17 and older drivers on my Website (no registration required):
http://www.alcomsplace.com

Forceware 171.23 Beta: 64.17fps avg over 9 runs with UT3 Benchmark Tool

Word to the wise.....

These drivers may "Break" Crysis.

In truth, I can't be sure as I have had several drivers in in the last day or so, but something causes Crysis to not start. Black screen no error message and desktop. Odd!

Crysis is running fine for me using these drivers, there might be some other factors at play.

Yay VMR video is washed out again. The VMR fix no longer works. Seems like nvidia doesnt care about Overlay or DXVA in the latest drivers.

Back to 169.28 for me from evga.:o

I completed cryisis last night with these drivers ,Some flashing textures but that could be my overclock.

I'll lower the ram to 1000 and take another look.

. . .

looks fine.

It appears that the patch to 1.1 may be the culprit.
