I see alot of folks here even with platiums from Creative are not using their bays no more.

I am thinking of dumping it myself so i can use the slot for better things.

Could the Xfi bay be the blame for hissing coming out of my speakers?

I will pull the plug on it very soon.

But yea i see less and less people using it.

Is it lost its popularity?

+1 It's the best way to hook up a pair of HD-555's.

That would be cool, but I wouldn't know what to use it for. BTW, I never used the front panel/bay on my Audigy 2 I had. I eventually unhooked it and took it out.

the bay is a pos... as if the quality of the caps and opamps on the card itself wasn't bad enough... the break out box is a mess and doesn't give very good SQ.

Could that be the blame for the hissing out of the speakers.

Funny thing is when i switch the modes from gamer to entertainment mode, the hissing goes away.
