So I just got my brand new rig from cyberpowerpc.com (was too lazy to build myself) :captnkill: and basically at stock settings from EVGA it ran a mediocre 12147 in SLI mode. This is my first sli system and it does seem a bit low to me... Although these bad boys have already been oc'd to a modest 12979 score it still seems extremely low to me. I see in people's sig's that their rig is benching 15+k with 1 F#$king 8800 is this system defective or is it just me? :D

What is your CPU clock? And is that the score you get at default 1280x resolution?

Has the processor been overclocked at all?

On my system, an 8800 GTX that has been OC'd to 650/1060 and a 3.6Ghz Core 2 Duo E6600 will land 13.5k. Your system is obviously not optimized yet.

1280 Standard Res. 2.4Ghz Stock Q6600 I was thinking about overclocking it to around 3.5ghz since its on water... But anyways, when thats done my score will bench alot more?

If you OC to 3.5ghz, you should expect a score no less than 18000 with the GT's, a few 100s higher if you OC the cards as well.

My main PC hits around 10500 with a single 320mb. O/C on the 320 is 600/1800/1500, I think.

Something is not quite right with yours.

Yeah, I single 8800GT with a Q6600 @ 3.0 scores about 12000+. I suspect SLI is probably not enabled.

THAT is your problem. OC the processor a little, and watch the score soar into the heavens.

3dmark06 is very CPU dependent, and doesn't really reflect real world game performance.

however, like was said above, OC your CPU and that will boost your 3dmark06 score if that's what's important to you.

Lazy with money to burn. ;) Not to crap on your thread or anything, but you probably could have built one yourself for a lot cheaper. Anyways, just follow the advice of the men above this and you should be set. Good luck.

Alienware Aurora Star Wars Edition (Dark Side)

That's a nice case you got there, SLippe.

I can understand all of your points.
I figured getting: EVGA 780i motherboard, Q6600 Quad Core, Thermaltake 750 Watt Psu, Dual EVGA 8800GT's, Coolermaster Water Cooling, 3GB Corsair XMS2 Extreme, and a big #$^@ing Apevia Full Tower with about 6 Fans in it would do the trick.

Why 3gb of ram....? For the record my system with 1 8800 gtx gets 14290 points.

Thats a normal score. People with high scores at the defualt settings are not due to their video card so much as their insanely high overclocked quad cpu's.

I have 2 GT's also, the difference between single and sli is, i forget. Something mediocre like 1000 points.

Crank up AA and resolution and you will notice probably 80% more in performance between single and sli. Put it simply, you haven't really stressed the first card to the max. So the second card is kinda in idle mode as theres not much for it to do.
