I bought this card about 3 months ago. All the drivers are up to date too.

Whenever I play games (Unreal 2003 and Battlefield 1942) the graphics are completely messed up. There are lines going through the game, and big huge polygons. More or less there are pop ups and distorted graphics all over the place.

What is the story? The card isn't that old, so it shouldn't be broken already.

Oh yeah, I put back in my old Giforce 2 MMX card and everyting looked fine.

Is this card fried? Please help.
.
Thanks.

check your agp slot and clean it out if it needs to be, same with the contacts on your Ti 4200, that don't work, eh, somethin's wrong with the card me thinks:confused:

Whats the best way to clean it? Just wipe it down.

err... take a look in there, see if there is any junk, take a can of air or blow in it, the contacts you can wipe, but it would be kinda harder to do it with the agp slot.

Compressed air to clean out the AGP slot and 92% rubbing alcohol to clean the contacts on the card (using a clean, dry, cotton cloth) should be adequate. Also make sure that the card is fully seated in the slot as well as that can cause display corruption.

I did that and it didn't help.

I am guessing at this point the card is borken because I can't see anything else wrong.

I know Gainward had some issues with the capacitors on their cards that would cause similar issues. You may have to contact the manufacturer about it. It looks like that might be the case.
