Yahoo Instant messenger for Vista?

I downloaded the all new Yahoo Instant messenger for Vista but find it to be totally useless compared to the other non-vista version. Infact, the Yahoo IM Vista version doesn't even alert you when you have an e-mail in you're in-box. So what's the catch and are any of you using it? How is it even benefiting anyone vs. the older version which seems to do the job alot better? :headexplode:

Pidgin FTW. It takes care of multiple IM clients in one. I use it for AIM, GTalk and Yahoo.

Last question, I went back to Yahoo version 8.1 I want to download Vista skins for it. Where can I get them?
