hi im buliding a new system with a xfx nforce 780i i no these get hot but im not planing to overclock yetmy new bluid consits of the following.

xfx 780i
intel penryn quad core when they come out
3 gig of kingston value ram(or might get some cruciull ballistic)
gainward geforce 8800gts not overclocked
maxtor 200 gig sata
samsung 400 gig sata
hp cd writer
dvd rom
nec dvdr
4 noctua 120 case fans
coolermaster stacker nvidia edition case
all powered by a thermaltake 850 psu..

anyone with the following spec have you had any issues @ all you could tell me about.

if you really want NEC, just don't buy AD-7190A or AD-7191A those are Lite-on rebadged as NEC.

best NEC woudl be AD-7200 or AD-7201 or AD-7203 series.

plus why such odd size for ram? 3gb?

looks pretty good, but i'd change two things.

go with 4gb of crucial ballistix and something a little better than the thermaltake PSU. maybe corsair TX750?

i already have the thermaltake psu
ill go with 2 gig of crucial then thanks for the replys i just want a stable system and go sli @ some point.

I would save the money you're spending on the quad, get a E8400, 4 Gb of RAM and a good CPU cooler. But that's just me :D

yep gonna use the stock cooler for a while..

we have the same case revs how are those noctuas silent are they ive got some orderd..

Yup, superb coolers, as long as they're not obstructed. They're not good pushing restricted air. Otherwise they're the best by far IMO

exellent cant wait to get my new system up and running i just hope i dont have to much trouble with it ive been reading forums about the xfx 780i nothing but problems.:(
