Make sure you get your vacuum ready though, to suck out all the hot air if you are using air cooling, if water, then just OC it nicely. :afro2:

Heres an example of Geforce fx 5800 non ultra overclocking, on the second page.
5800 non ultra review (http://www.overclockers.co.nz/ocnz/vga/nvidia/fx/fx5800/compro_fx5800/f1.shtml)

I'd just take the HSF off and use some Arctic silver, that will get you another 5-10MHz...

Going psycho with AC units is just a waste of time and money...should have just got the Ultra in that case...

matt, i enjoy your website.

hey dude, are going on information there? have you heard that the paste for the FlowFX isnt premium? I have tons of arctic silver and will do it if others have noted results.

- OnTopic - the 5800s were built on the DDR2 that didnt test stable at 1ghz likely, because sourcing was a reported issue. good luck with that. awesome if its a good OCr

I don't know specifically about the paste on the FX series of cards, but it's general knowledge that vid card companies don't use a quality paste, plus a lot of times it's not even well-spread. I got an extra 15MHz on my Ti4200's core by using some leftover OCZ silver paste, making sure it had 100% coverage as the 4200 had only about 40% coverage from the factory with cheap paste...

And thanks for checking out our site! we've got over 300 reviews in the database, plus if you hurry you can get in on the contest! Ends today!

When I use the Auto Detect on the clock freq. tab (coolbits extra tab), it adjusts core/memory settings to 512/1G, does that mean its a recommended setting or max or something?
I have also underclocked the 2D setting to 200/300, but my screen got corrupted display and black out's, funny.
