I'm shocked, PC version of Assassin's Creed has just been leaked and cracked 1 full month before official release (march 28th says my preorder at play.com). How can this happen???. Very sad news.

wow, it is sad, but it also sad that ubi decided to delay the release even when the game is done.

No offense but this is kinda funny and ridiculous at the same time. Why delay the game? Why not get it out quicker so that people would buy it instead of having to wait even LONGER and download it illegally? OMG, these big corporations don't have one lick of sense.

If it happened to anyone other than Ubi I might be upset, but since it's Ubi. :rofl

just like MS delaying release of Vista SP1, since final code was done on January 18th, RTM on 25th. today is 29th of Feb, and still not out to public

The fact that the code is done doesn't mean that everything else is. It's unbelievable how many times our software has gotten delayed because we're waiting for the final license from legal or something. There's also manufacturing that has to happen for a physical release, whereas pirates don't really care about packaging.;)

Its due to marketing mainly. Getting the production queues ready, distribution, advertisement etc.

Maximum (Everything set to "3" including AA) details, DX10 1680x1050 - generally stable 25 FPS.
(I didn't take any screens of the intro and tutorial to avoid spoilers.)

I assume multisampling 3 is 8xAA, 2 would be 4xAA, 1 would be 2xAA and 0 would be no AA

All PC games will be direct to drive release from now on. Carry on that is all.

Hopefully.

It really would be the best of both worlds. From the piracy side, none of the pish with shopping around and waiting for a game to be delivered, no CD requirement, and no system-wide DRM infections, and from the legit side, online play, and that warm fuzzy feeling you get when you've supported the industry for once. I only wish it wasn't still so expensive - it's really not on that IRL retail copies of a game should be more expensive than the online, downloaded versions of them. I appreciate that digital delivery isn't free, but it's a *****load cheaper than pressing a disc, packaging it, sending it to Jersey, storing it in a warehouse, selling it as part of stock with an online business whose running costs will be far greater than those of Digital Delivery Company #3, selling it with 5% comission margin, then spending a quid to have it posted to my door. And then having to reserve some of the cost for all the additional expensese required by having to do customer service and returns and sh*t.

Also, why can't we swear on this forum? Are the mods afraid that a 2 year old might learn something new?

This is why we need people banned when they are known supporters of piracy...

Thieves don't need this thread to be alerted.

I think they should have released a digital version first, and boxed retail later. Look at Audiosurf, it was pirated four days after being released on Steam. I don't know if it has been released on retail, but Valve has stated that Audiosurf is the best selling Steam game ever, surpassing Orange Box and all Valve hits.

While this is true I don't believe we should be treating known thieves with the same amount of respect. They are the garbage of society and so they should be treated like.

PIRATES NEED ALERTS

In fact, I get a text message sent to my cell every time a new pirated piece of property propagates prolifically through the interweb.
