Basically Crysis runs like **** on my computer unless I run everything on low to the point where FarCry looks better and still dosent run as good.

Does anyone know any good configs I should use? I'm running on a 8800gts 320mb, Pentium 4 3.2ghz, 2gb of RAM.
Thanks!

you should use

A. a better processor

B. a better video card.

that should solve your problem.

Pentium 4 3.2GHz is CPU limited and single core caused everything ran on low setting, you will be fine with quad core Q6600 or Q9450 run everything high or very high setting.

Your video card is fine for 1024x768 medium-high settings as long as you go buy a dual core processor (or quad core)

I have an 8800gt and run everything on high in DX9 mode... I think your main problem is your processor.

your CPU is bottlenecking the performance. Crysis needs a dual core to run smoothly. you can get a combo of C2D E4500 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115031) and any mobo and it should perform just fine :)

That Pentium 4 is killing you. :thumbdwn:

i run crysis on almost all high settings with a 9600 gt lol an amd 64 3000 and 1.25 gigs ram. at 1024x768. all high physics medium audio low and no motion blur. and yes its playable.

I wasn't talking about hardware just configs and ****. I'm going to eventually upgrade the CPU but not now.

Your cpu is absolutely worthless :/

Well you said everything is on low and it still runs badly, so there's not much to advise.

Defrag, drivers, the usual... wait for the 1.2 patch.

that CPU is bottlenecking you hard, hell it even bottlenecks in Oblivion

There is no magic for crappy hardware. Crysis isnt fast on a GTX with a quad so I dunno what to tell you. Wait for next gen GPUs and an 8 core CPU to get 40+ fps outta crysis.

Yah exactly, even if you have a quad core and 3 8800 ultra's in SLI Crysis still runs like doggy doo doo. We're going to have to wait for the next generation
of CPU's and GPU's (not the geforce 9 series, unless there's some magic up
their sleeves) before we can truly enjoy Crysis.

So pretty much this game was clearly rushed out.

Huh???

No ,Clearly you rushed to buy it before doing some research on your aging cpu's performance with the game

"Supported" doesn't mean usable though , You should start a class action.

Just wait for the PS3 version? ::D:

Hahaha... the game is actually extremely well optimized for what it's doing, your processor is just too old to run it correctly. P4s are like what, 4 years old? More?

I run the game in 1680x1050 with most options set to high... it looks amazing, and it runs around 30fps all the time. If I wanted I could set some stuff to medium and get 50fps. Since the game blows away all other games on the market in graphics, I'm happy with those results.

Don't blame the game for your bottleneck.

Runs great here with a single 8800gtx and Q6600 2.4GHz.
