DX10 is screaming with these new drivers (x86). In the past Bioshock and Gears of War have always been faster in DX9 mode with FSAA. The new drivers rock. Now DX10 blows DX9 away in framerate in these games with FSAA enabled (in GOW) and now I can use 4XFSAA. :captnkill:
Update: Force Vsync (through the control panel or nhancer) works in DX10 now.

DX10 is screaming with these new drivers (x86). In the past Bioshock and Gears of War have always been faster in DX9 mode with FSAA. I've had to run at 2X in DX9 mode because of the frames penalty. The new drivers rock. Bioshock now finally works with DX10 and FSAA. And DX10 blows DX9 away in framerate in these games with FSAA enabled and now I can use 4XFSAA. :captnkill:
<YAWN> Heard all this before...I call BS.

Do these drivers support SLI? If they do, I'd love to give them a shot.

The 170 series are fast but your right none of them support sli

That is not true. I run the 174.16 drivers and my 8800gtx sli works just fine. I was asking because these were originally notebook drivers and I didn't know if sli support would have been there.

I had these installed and i was unable to enable sli. If I selected it it would say to restart the computer but would never stay enabled

conroejoe, why don't you bench bioshock and gears of war in DX9 vs. DX10 with FSAA yourself and post the results.

I thought AA can only be applied to DX9 version of Bioshock and not DX10. Or are you referring just to Gears?

Can't wait for some official beta drivers for Vista 174 series. Hell, bring on the 175! When's the next card launching? New drivers for that card only then.

I forgot to add I am using the 9800XTX prototype.
and i didn't know that triple buffering in the control panel is for OpenGL only and that for directx triplebuffering i need d3doverider or dxtweaker.
im qouting tweakguides.com "DXTweaker is a small utility which allows users to forcefully enable Triple Buffering in Direct3D, something which is not possible using the normal Triple Buffering setting in the Nvidia Control Panel."
so I really should learn to keep my mouth shut about drivers and instead start reading some guides like "drivers for tards" the ultra tard edition
And also I absolutely will start loving the dancing bananas.

WTF, this moron (who doesn't know the difference between vsync and triplebuffering) just spent probably half an hour to copy the devrandom bugmenot profile. Get a life.
Update: I am sure the devnotrandom imposter is Crainger. He is spamming all forums with his fake profiles. Mods, please ban Crainger and his fake profiles devnotrandom, devrandom1.

Here it says 'incompatible graphics driver' like it did on some other 174.xx drivers. It works on 174.12 though which is what I'm currently on.
