I still think the DVI ports stacked like that looks weird/wrong

They say the GX2 is clocked at 600MHz core, 1,500MHz shader, and 2,000MHz GDDR3 memory

Easier to plug in, that's for sure. :)

Looks nice, I haven't decided whether I'm adding another GTX or going GX2. Seems like the card has problems w/ heat, so If I was going GX2, i'd probably get the black pearl and add it into the loop of my future watercooling system.
Was the last GX2 card they released flipped liked that? Where the two card face each other? I thought they were just stacked like in SLI. I like the fact they are adding HDMI to the newer cards.

I think the Black Pearl with WC looks pretty nice.
But I am still holding back until I see a GTX and actual tests from both. I am not going right out of the gate this time only to find Ultra Versions coming out the next month.

No it wasn't flipped. The big advantage they have from flipping the second card over is they are now using one big cooler instead of two small ones. I'm guessing this card probably runs a lot better than a 7950GX2 because it has much better airflow.

What sucks for me is that last year I go out and buy a new system and and now with this PCI 2.0 I do not think i can even buy one of these cards.
Any of the newer GPU be for the 1.6? Or are we screwed?
PCI Express 2.0 x16
What is PCI Express 2.0 x16 ?

What aluminum radiator you going to use with that block? You can kiss Themochill and HWLabs rads as they are copper. Don't worry . . .EK and DD will have decent blocks out for the GX2.
Your not the boss of me DB ;) I was going to use a TEC cooling system.

If thats true... what a complete waste. Two 8800GTs would pwn that thing.

Don't worry, PCI-E 2.0 is backwards compatible, iirc 2.0 has twice as much bandwidth. Nothing to worry about tho as nothing pushes the older pci-e 16x to the limits yet... kind of like when Agp 8x came along.

That's what I thought. Yeah, seems like a "no brainer" to me, but hey, who am I?! LOL
Wonder if it makes toast?
