Or so I thought, according to this link the CPU will be selling at 649 (@ manufacture retail price) I know technology is supposed to go down in price every year but 649 for a brand new CPU compared to the 9650 at what +900$ or am i reading that preview wrong?

It's for socket 771 though. The 9770 is socket 775, but since the 9650 already has an unlocked multiplyer, I don't see a reason for the 9770 which costs 400$ more.

... speaking Greek to me man sorry I don't know a lot about computers. I know multiplier will allow you to unlock the bios right and obviously you must have exact sockets to fit so it would be better to just stick the money into a 9650?
I believe the QX9775 is specifically for Intel's limited production Skullrail motherboard, which costs $600+, and has dual server board sockets on it. Unlocked multiplayer means you can overclock the CPU by increasing the multiplyer alone, without having to push the front side bus speed.
