Hey, I just realize that my EVGA 8400GS has an SLI header for this configuration. Would it be beneficial to SLI two 8400GS cards and have system run as fast as a single 8600GTS? Just wondering if it's worth obtaining another 8400GS to go along with my current one.

I don't think 2 8400GS cards would make much sense. I don't think it'd be anywhere near the power of an 8600GTS.

You'd be much better off just selling it on ebay and getting something better.

Hhheheeh...I'm just curious, I might do it just for the heck of it (if not for performance improvement).

It's your money. Do as you chose.

Personally I wouldn't go SLI so I could run pong and solitaire simultaneously :)

they are very, very low end cards.

8600GTS is the lowest end card nvidia makes that SLI worth it for. Trust me most people will argue that im wrong. Most people believe 8800GS is the lowest end card worth SLi'ing. Do what you choose

I would say the 8800GS is the lowest end SLi worthy* card.

*barely worth it.

Well, you can get them for $20 after rebates. It might be worth it just to experiment with SLI.
