For Computex 2008, accorded to NVIDIA partner.
Wow 3 months away for a real complete next generation chip, G92 is actually a G80 refresh. :D

I think that this 8800GTX has been the best card that i've owned since my Voodoo 1, that lasted 2-3 years.

Fingers crossed this is true!
I have never been so unenthusiastic about an upcoming NVIDIA launch as I am about the 9 series.
Normally I can't wait for their new product releases.
Bring on the GT200 already!
8800s have been awesome and still are. The only cards I would consider close to having this type of longevity are the Radeon 9800s.

I would say more along the lines of the 9700 pro. That was THE radeon card to buy. That and then the 6800gt.

So true. I got the FX 5900, which was the worst card I've ever owned. Then I got the 6800 GT shortly after. I used the 6800 GT for over 2 years. It was an awesome card. :D

Thanks for the info but we all know the Ti4600 was the all time bomb card.

Eh I'd say either the Geforce 2 Ultra or the Geforce 256 both were revolutionary

lol
I honestly loved my 5950U back when I had it. That card was a great performer in every game I played. It even did extremely well in FarCry, which surprised me.
From that I got a 6800GT, which was lightyears better as we all know.
Not sure which card I'd say was the best... these 8800s are atleast runners up for the position.

I jumped ship to ATi during the FX era and bought a Radeon. I've owned every nivida GeForce card except the FX and Geforce 2.

In particular the Geforce 256 DDR flavour (not the initial SDR version) :D
