The CPU being highly overclocked might also be the reason for a bigger score

They used a lower resulution, and windows xp, plus a high oc, doesn't seems to reliable to me.

That seems a little less far fetched.

This was posted in the rumor mill a few days ago, if you go to the second page, it says that they used a qx9650 oc'd to 4.5, and they got 19,000

It's gone for the 9800gx2 on the 18th, there is no word on the rest of the lineup though.... Maybe end of march begining of april timeframe.

Look again, that's 3D Mark 05, and it's done at 1024x768 only, so no big deal.
