Nice catch! Much faster and better than Firefox 2.0. :) I really like the virus feature!

Cant actually say ive noticed a huge difference, visually its slightly different, its probably mostly security wise fixes, ive always used the about:config fix to speed firefox up a little .... seems ok though, ill keep it :) .. thanks for the heads-up :)

When is the final released planned? If they're on Beta 4 I can't imagine it's too far off.

just installed it.. a few bugs with plugins and websites but nothing too critical.. ive forced some of my plugins to be compatible... not noticed any difference in speed though but i do like the new skin.... btw you can also download the SSE2 optimised version here

Are these forums accessible using https?

Since login+password are required, it would be not too bad to use secure connection.

Or maybe it is possible, only I could not find out how.

Thanks a lot in advance.

How did you do that? I was running FF2, then updated to FF3b4 (SSE2 optimized, as you suggested in the other thread), but now a number of the extensions I had been using (filterset.g updater, forecastfox, tabmix plus, statusbar ex) aren't compatible, which sucks. If I can't get them running, I'll go back to version 2.

EDIT: I was able to get all of them except tabmix plus working via a workaround I googled, but I'm still a sad puppy as I LOVE what tabmix plus does for my browsing. Still searching...

i used this extension called nightly tester tools...
http://www.oxymoronical.com/web/firefox/nightly
i noticed some issues though... adblock plus had a bug where you couldnt add filters... downloading the latest nightly build fixed it.. and also unplug doesnt work properly (extension to save embedded videos)... also i noticed firefox 3 would crash sometimes if i pressed the 'find updates' button and then kept browsing
