OK, we have a special project here at work and I am getting ready to pick up about 6 of these boxes for our tradeshow booth.

I've called Acer's pre sales line but they have no clue. "Oh, my, this question was not in my training", was the reply I got. I guess he wanted me to simply say ok and hang up but I asked him to transfer me to someone else and he almost started to cry....

Does anyone know if the x1250 cards can rotate their display 90 degrees, via the CCC or basic Windows XP desktop properties?

We are looking to drive 6 42" LCDs -1080P res. in portrait mode for some marketing in booth, some PPTs running and maybe some small video's nothing earth shattering.

Boxes are these:

After the phone call I really don't want to buy ACER anything but for under 480 a piece I cant go wrong..... I hope not.

Wouldn't it be just as well to run 3 dual-view boxes? I believe you can buy 3 cheap dual view capable Nvidia cards for the price of one of those boxes.

My work PC with Radeon x550 does support rotation in CCC.

duh, I meant portrait mode by rotating the desktop by 90 degrees. Each booth (2 setups we do a lot of shows) will have 3 separate displays in different parts of the booth.

1PC with it's desktop rotated 90 degrees for each LCD monitor in portrait mode.

The ati drivers for my mobile x1400 can rotate the screen.

After calling ATI and being told the ccc will allow me to rotate the screen. We can not, it's grayed out.

Is there a utility for ATI cards and the CCC to unlock hidden features? How I hate buying something after being told it will do a certain thing only to find out it can not..

I may have to go a third party rout but don't want to if I don't have to.

Did you install the drivers that came with the card, or from the website? I'd call ATI back, and if you can't get them going, send em back.

I working with a guy on my team. I'm in FL and he is back at our corporate office in RI.

he states the ccc is updated to the latest. However he does not know if the LCD drivers are loaded already.

Hopefully he can play with it today and I'm going to call ATI again.
