It's OK for me. Everest and Core Temp read the same, as always.

temps is 15c higher than last version

The last version wasent digitally signed, that why the temps where wrong with the last version of core temp, this version should be giving out the right temps, well it is for me now!

Well the only difference i see between the new and old version is that my Tj.max
is 100c now not 85c like the old one.

so 60.1c is the critical temp of my processor?

so what is the relation of the thermal specification to TJmax?

The 60.1C in the thermal specification is the maximum Tcase temp, not the actual core temps. Tcase is measured at the geometric center on the topside of the CPU integrated heat spreader. Temps you see in software utilities such as CoreTemp are Tjunction temps that are derived from digital thermal sensors located on the CPU cores. Obviously Tjunction will always be higher than Tcase, up to 18C for C2D's, and 12C for quads. Tjmax is the maximum Tjunction temp, the temp at which thermal protection controlled throttling/shotdown will occur.

Here's a temperature guide for C2D's CDQ's:
