Wow what a boost. I kept the 7950GX2 from my old rig and i wasen't expecting huge gains...

Went from (See Sig) to

Gigabyte GA-X38-DQ6
2GB DDR2-800 Corsair (4-4-4-12)
7950GX2 (Same as before)
E6850 (3Ghz) + 9700NT Zalman.
Antec 900

VST 142FPS~ jumped to 270FPS~.

Installing the thing was pretty easy..took some time...unfortunately my dam internet got capped during the windows updates..so i am pretty limited to which games i can run atm...lol. I will have to wait till Wed to get it all set.

The only thing i am a bit unsure was why the motherboard first boot the E6850 @ 2.66 333x8...i dunno what the deal was..i put it to 9..and it goes @ 3ghz now. Also my corsair ram wants 2.1V.....i put 2.05...i dunno if its meant to be that high..

Apart from that...and the CoD4 Headache that i am trying to fix...i am liking it alot...Never did i expect huge gains on the 7950GX2..its like a huge rock just lifted off it lol..

PS If anyone can help out with the dam CoD4 problem let me know on this thread

Good stuff, no more CPU bottlenecks :D

You'll be fine running your RAM at 2.05v. A little under is fine, but too much may cause problems.

Grats on the rig.

The sticker on the ram says is to run @ 2.1..

No Pics :(...the 900 case is pretty sweet...its all blue/green(9700NT) colors inside lol

Anyway..back to CoD4 mess :<

CoD4 Mess fixed by putting the GX2 on the second PCI-E slot..

It also improved my VSt from 270FPS to 300FPS...which compared to the old rig...more than doubled my avg fps lol...now thats what i call improvement..and i didn't even upgrade the video card lol..so awesome.
