lspci (linux)
00:10.0 VGA compatible controller [Class 0300]: nVidia Corporation Unknown device [10de:07e0] (rev a2)

what is the correct driver to use:

i have problems with the integrated network too.

RTL 8211B chip (10/100/1000 Mbit).

The install works only if the SATA/AHCI mode is disabled in the bios.

do you still have problem with your network interface ?

I have installed ubuntu successfully but I had some trouble with network interface

I added a rule to fix it because every reboot the HW mac address change and a new eth? is created

i just installed opensolaris 052008. I found this nforce driver for my gigabyte mb : http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_nforce_1.23.html
for video : http://www.nvidia.com/object/unix.html

My configuration : NVIDIA GeForce 7100 / nForce 630i Chipset
--> For nforce driver, i don't know how to install it.

There is also these : http://homepage2.nifty.com/mrym3/taiyodo/eng/
--> nforce 2/3/4 and mcp61

tell me if it works for you

bye, good luck
