A new 9 series is a waste of money. Perhaps Nvidia should spend all that money to get decent damn drivers....
just shut up already...no one cares what you have to say...

Oh well... looks like I'll be content with my 8800 GTX for a while now. :(
Its getting confusing with all these new cards. 8800GTX, 8800GTS512, 9800GTX. Eek I wonder when the 8800GTX is going to be phased out to make things a little bit clearer.

I'll still wait for the GT200.
GT200 is when I'll build my next gaming rig!

That's hard to say. Intel has taken a special interest in Ray-tracing. Seems their putting a lot of effort into making their card highly efficient for ray-tracing. Not sure if that's gonna' pay off or not. I do know that with all the resources they have at thier disposal, they should atleast be able to compete with whatever nVidia barfs out.
As for ATi and the R700... *crosses fingers*
I really doubt Intel will compete with nvidia/ati as far as rasterization goes, they seem too focused on raytracing, and as such, their products will probably only be good if games start using raytracing, which as Carmack pointed out, will probably be more of a hybrid of rasterization for the most part, and raytracing only partially, Sweeney seems eager to use "software" again, so that might involve some kind of raytracing, but I guess we will need to wait and see what happens
