BenQ V2400W LCD monitor

BenQ has announced what it claims to be the worlds slimmest 24-inch widescreen LCD monitor. This new LCD measures about 6.1 cm (2.4 inch) at its thickest point and 2.3cm at its thinnest point.

Other notable features include a nice looking thin bezel and touch-sensitive buttons. The screen specs include 4,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 250cd/m2 brightness, 2ms GTG response time, full 1080p HD support, 1920 x 1200 resolution, 16.7 million colors and 160 degree viewing angle. As for inputs, the new Benq V2400W features DVI, HDMI and plain VGA analog input.

According to the press release, the new V2400W should be available in China and Asia by the end of March and sometime during April in Europe and North America. Unfortunately, its price has yet to be revealed.

The off centered stand looks weird, and it doesn't look like it's a wide screen, not sure about that though...

What is considered the absolute best 24" these days, when money is no object?
Does the 2408 fpw still reign supreme?

That off centered stand gotz me all confused:retard:

The touch sensitive buttons are a really nice feature, but it would have been perfect if display port was one of the inputs...

OUCH! only 250cd/m2 brightness. I like my monitors to have great brightness. My 2408h has 400cd/m2 brightness. 250 is a kick in the balls.

I don't like the off centered stand. That's just asking for it to tilt to one side. No thanks. I'll stick with my 2407.

With the viewing angle figures quoted, this looks like its a tn monitor. Yes its good looking but you can get monitors with better image quality for less.

ya I was hoping that it was going to be something other than a tn + film monitor..... Those PVA screens seem to have a nice ratio of quality and price.

I don't know much about monitors, but what does the viewing angle have to do with what kind of screen it is?(not doubting you, but want to understand)
