Great, another driver for two cards that very few people owns. Modded INF again until nVidia releases anything for everybody. Damn I miss Catalyst.

Even if it wasn't a big surprise, considering the leaked driver for just 9800 GX2 and 9800 GTX, it is a big dissapointment.

Common NVidia, get drivers out for the old cards.

Yea, this is getting retarded. Nvidia is turning into a bunch of scumbags. Wtf I can put a modded inf in there, why cant they just support all the cards? Wth ever happened to unfied drivers? And so much for the drivers ever month. Lying ****s.

Run modified inf and you should be fine. I agree, Forceware turned out to be the biggest crap.

I thought NVIDIA touted there drivers as "Unified". This breaks that trend.

Even with the modified inf's, I've been having consistent issues with all the past 174.xx drivers with certain games and AA. The game I experienced the flashing and flickering was Command and Conquer 3, and this would eventually lead towards a BSOD (with the display off). We really need a official WHQL/Candidate to appear for the other cards, all we have now are betas and leaks...

I guess these new video enhancements aren't for 8800 users? Dynamic contrast was meant to be in 174.xx for ages but there was never anythign in my control panel.

theres hope. nvidia just sent me their best survey ever today they acknowledged that their drivers didn't have enough features (among other flaws that don't matter to me, but might to you) it was quite miraculous and i told them so and praised them.

Anyone with Lord of the Rings Online want to test these running in Windowed mode (or Crysis in Windowed mode).

I get a blue screen with anything above 169.xx drivers in these two games. They run really well in Fullscreen though.

Incompatible Graphics Driver error in PDVD is back with these. Back to 174.51.

That has nothing to do with the drivers; it's the modded inf that's causing the problems. Try installing these drivers with the 169.61 inf and I promise you it will solve your problems.

EDIT: Modded the original inf(original 174.53 inf!) myself and surprise surprise no more powerdvd problems. Decided to upload a modified inf for the 8- and 9-series of cards(not mobile devices), for those who are having problems with powerdvd.

Rename file to nv_disp.inf and put it into your extracted installation folder(usually c:\windows\nvidia\driver number)
Now run setup.exe from this folder(or install from device manger -update driver)

VISTA 64 ONLY!

you wouldn't happen to be able to post up this modded 169.61 - 175.53 inf would you?

I've been having nothing but probs with the latest 174.xx series too but 169.61 runs like butter!

I get an error when trying to install these. It says I'm not running 64-bit Vista! I'm not! I'm runnning 32-bit Vista and downloaded the 32-bit driver!

The name of the driver I downloaded is 174.53_geforce_winvista_32bit_english.exe

Any ideas?

I'm also using the modded inf supplied by Toss3, so I guess it could be that that's for 64-bit only? Will check....

The guy over at guru that's been uploading the Vista drivers w/ modded INF is actually using mobilenv's INF from laptopvideo2go. If you take a look at the modded INF, there are a ton of tweaks. Some of them are outdated such as CoolBits and NvCplShowEnableVMR.

OK, looks like that info file is for Vista 64-bit only.

Anyone have an equivalent for 32-bit Vista?

I'm using PowerDVD, so would like a modded inf that works with that. I'm guessing the modded 174.53 infs don't work with it....

Forgot to mention it was for vista 64 ^^. I'll see what I can do about the vista 32-bit driver.

EDIT: Modded Vista 32 inf added. Same instructions apply. :)
