Hello, I have a trouble with my NVIDIA card.
It's a Geforce 2 go in a Dell 8200 laptop.
I installed the drivers (version 1.0-4363). When I select "linux" in LILO, X server doesn't start. So i have to use insmod to start the nvidia.o module. If I select "failsafe" and then "graphic and network" The x server and the NVIDIA driver start without a problem.
The error in the log is the following:
Cannot load NVIDIA Kernel. Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration.
I already tried everything in the readme but nothing works.
Is there any way to fix that so I don't have to start manually the module or start in failsafe?

Does your /etc/modules file (at least... I think that's what Mandrake uses) have nvidia listed in it? It should. After putting it in, reboot.

If it still doesn't work, post /var/log/XFree86.0.log.
