Sony's OLED XEL-1 Digital TV (http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&productId=8198552921665327724&langId=-1)

Saw this on G4TV's Attack of The Show and thought I'd share it. Awesome little TV, but not worth the $2,500.00 price tag.

theyre OLED's.

that's why that optimus (or w/e its called) keyboard costs $1500. OLED's are expensive as hell. nonetheless, 1000000:1 is damn impressive

That number doesn't really mean anything; they just take the darkest black the display can achieve and divide it by the brightest white, and when the darkest black is zero the contrast ratio becomes infinite, and also a moot point. :)

Heh saw the little bugger today live at my local computer shop! It sure is pretty but 11inches is small(especially when sitting next to a 52W3000 screen). What surprised me the most is how clean it handled motion on the screen, and how incredible the colors were. The only thing that comes close to it in terms of picture quality is the Pioneer Kuros, but the whites aren't as bright as on the oled.

Heh can't believe they actually crammed 960x540 pixels in that thing!

I just ordered this TV for a friend off Amazon for $2,200 http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/detail/spec.do?group=televisions&type=televisions&subtype=lcdtv&model_cd=LNT4081FX/XAA&fullspec=F

It's a Samsung TV with a dynamic contrast ratio of 500,000:1

http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-LNT4081F-1080p-120Hz-HDTV/dp/B000V9HZDA/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1205637424&sr=1-6

While it isn't OLED, it does employ some LED lighting.

samsung ftw! i'm actually impressed with samsung lately. they do produce some amazing hdtvs. i'm saving money for sony's oled or newer, probably after i graduate. my current hdtv is still amazing and works great.
