View Full Version : New XP install to drive G....
Want to change to drive C: Is this possible??
You mean, you have an existing drive called the G drive, and want to install Windows to it and have that Windows call it the C: Drive? That there's standard operation for Windows, so you'll not need to do anything.
If you mean somehting else, muh. Explain yourself better :p
Thanks, I just re-did everything and all is well in C: :)

Well, for future reference:
1. Boot into safe mode.
2. regedit
3. Goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/mountedDevices
4. Change said drive to whatever letter you want. in Your case it would have been \DosDevices\G: and change it to \DosDevices\C:.
5. Reboot and done.
