I going to go ahead and start a decimated thread since I love this team so much.

Suns are going to win a championship this year. I'd bet money on it.

They're on a 7 game winning streak and they are literally eating through a lot of great teams. Warriors, Spurs, Rockets, Celtics.... all have fallen to the might of the Pheonix Suns. I'm glad they are finally clicking and playing well together. Lakers are the only team that stand a chance of beating them imho.

Rockets got manhandled tonight btw.

I'll take you up on that.

Suns still can't play defense worth a damn. I don't even think they are good enough to make it past the second round of the playoffs. Lakers, Hornets, Spurs, Nuggets, and Jazz are all way better teams than Phoenix Suns.

Are you joking? They are second in the league (behind Denver) in blocks per game, and if you take into account the difference between the other teams blocks per game they are in first by a large margin. Since they've got Shaq their rebounding has went up by at least 7 per game. They held warriors to 40% shooting. They held San Antonio to 35% shooting. They held Boston to 38% shooting. I'd go as far to say they are one of the top 5 defensive teams in the NBA now.

Their main problem is still turnovers. They are making way to many of them.

As much as I like the Suns now (coz of the big Cactus :D ) the fact is they have shoddy perimeter defense and cannot defend the pick and roll.

It doesn't matter how many blocks you are getting because this just proves that people are just heading straight for the rim.

The interior defense has certainly picked up but you cannot replace the energy Marion brought to the defense and his disruptive influence. Shaq can clog the lane but you still have Nash and Stoudamire and Shaq, 3 starters, who cannot defend either the perimeter or the pick n roll.

I expect them to put up a decent run this year but there are at least 2-3 teams in the west that can beat them. If they do get out, I fancy their chances against the Celtics, but not the Pistons.

Basically my views.

Honestly, if I were to have to choose a team to win it all, my choice would be the Pistons.

Because Boston, San Antonio, Golden State, and Houston aren't real teams.

Regardless, tonight's game with Detroit will be awesome. You have no idea how much I wish I had league pass.

this is an awsome game. Suns were down by like 7 but they came back in the 4th! I'm on the edge of my seat here.

wtf, this is the most bull**** refereeing I think I've ever seen in my life. Suns down by two. They should be up by 4. 1 minute left.

Crap, good game... 110-105 Pistons in OT. Too bad I didn't watch a single second of it. :headexplode:

That was the worst officiated game I think I've ever seen. I usually never blame it on the reffs. Ever. But it would have been a 10 point differential in favor of the Suns had the refs made some dead OBVIOUS calls five times in a row.

Perimeter defense still sucks balls.

Mike D'Antoni, is that you?

Detroit took 21 shots from the perimeter. Either the interior defense was stellar or there were plenty of wide-open shots on the outside.

From the looks of the game, it was the latter.
