Hi guys, Been on the ATi side of things lately with 2 3870's in crossfire, but now I decided to dump them and go with the 9800GX2 for the hopes of more consistant FPS in crysis, and other games as-well. I have a whole bunch of parts coming friday (This card included) and just wanted to get a run down on the current best driver for the GX2. Either it be a BETA driver, WHQL, I dont care, just the best performer in crysis, and UT3 if possible. Thanks again, and I just hope I made a good choice in video cards.

This needs to be moved to the Vista Drivers section.

174.70 have been working well for most of us.

I'm usually an ATI fanboys but currently ATI is behind the lead. However the HD4400 with DDR5 ram and insane clock speeds looks to be quite a challenger :)

Bit-tech just posted a Vista SP1 gaming performance review. Doesn't look like they found much as far as performance improvements for gaming though. Oh well, maybe SP2 will be the gamers update ;)

I would use tghe ltest 174.74. I'm coming from two X2 and the 9800GX2 is currently more consistent in framerate, but quad CF has potential to beat it, it's just not there yet.

BTW, ATI's iq in Crysis is better, buth the GX2 smoothness is better (but ATI having higher spikes). I experienced blurry parts on rocks, mountains etc. (DX10 very high and high)) .

If ATI manage to get the 4 GPU scaling right, this is the config for Crysis.
