View Full Version : ForceWare 174.74 International Beta Vista 32/64
As I said before UT3 runs great for me on this driver. In fact it's the only game I'm playing right now for usually a couple hours a day on average.

Yep same here, UT3 running great with these drivers, it's the only game I've been playing recently too :p damn UT3 online play is so addictive, need to start another single player game (I've got about 20 on the shelf I haven't started yet lol)

Yes bring on Stalker 2, i'm almost bored to tears with what's on the market at the moment.
Yeesh. The 174.74 drivers caused a huge nightmare for me... Artifacts EVERYWHERE, constant lockups, etc. Was a pain just to try to rollback to 171.20, but I managed to get by. Everything is back to normal.... except no SLI support :(

OK, I have UT3 running with these now. I uninstalled nHancer and also a SlideShow Gadget for my G15 keyboard.
I have a feeling it was the G15 Gadget that was causing the issue.
Just about to try rFactor again and see if it's happy now...

In Battlefield 2142, the flags on the radar screen are black instead of the team colors.

Sorry while I try to crawl out from under my rock and update my drivers. The last set I installed was 169.28.
Are the game profiles working in the 170 series? If so, starting around which release?

Stopped working again, so went back to 169.25 and everything is working nicely again in UT3 and rFactor.

This driver does not detect any of my games that run through Steam. Maybe it never did?
I like this driver, it improves WoW quite a bit, but I am having problems alt-tabbing in WoW this this set. The sidebar gadgets flicker through WoW when I alt-tab.
So far, this is the best driver for the 8800GTX in my opinion.

G15 does cause problems, G15 for many is the cause of extreme low FPS in FEAR.

Really? That's very interesting. Thanks for the warning!
I have not tried FEAR, but rolling back to 169.25 has fixed all my issues with rFactor and UT3. Of course, using the 169.25s means I can't have any foliage in FFOW (I don't think I'll miss it very much though).

I'm having this problem too in STEAM games. :thumbdwn:
Vista 64-bit.
Seem to be pretty bad drivers... Problem is; the aren't a lot of other 9800GTX drivers I can try... Because they simply do not exist. :(
I'll try the drivers on my Graphics card's CD tomorrow. 174.40.

I'm waiting for my QX9650 to arrive... Just sold my Q9450 yesterday...
When I have my system working again i'll test. :)
is someone using this forceware release with 8800gtx+Company of heroes(opposing fronts)?
Need a feedback about that "combo"....old release (163.75) was the best....seems strange:headexplode:
OK, please report results...

Installed 175.12: problem solved.
What I do experience is some kind of lag/stutter during about 10 seconds after loading a game of HL2 Ep 1. After that everything is fine.
I had a few Microsoft CC++ Runtime errors, so I uninstalled CC++ 05 and installed CC++ 08 and all the problems are gone. :)
I think Vista 64 is still not flawless...
(I got a ****ty QX9650 with stuck temp sensors... so that one is RMA'd...)
