:s well at least they are close to the Q6600, and if you dont overclok

:headexplode: it is alreadyd horrible enough looking at the complete powerconsumption of a phenom system against 65nm of intel the 45nm is just to cry about

If the Q9300 and Q9450keep getting less and less avaible and more expensive each week maby phenom isnt that bad :(

I guess they offer decent performance for their price but still intel remains the way to go.
Any word on availability?

I could have gotten a 9600 phenom for $100 brand new. Decided against it. LOL at AMD.

Yeah is there any word on when we're going to see some of these available?????

Edit : http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=29153&vpn=HD985ZXAGHBOX&manufacture=AMD

They are already showing at NCIX, not in stock, but available.

I've got an M2N32 SLi, and I'm thinking of grabbing one of those new BE cpu's and another 8800GTX to really kick some butt. Especially if they are retailing close to that $235 mark.

From the past, AMD does well with alot of ram in place.

With 4 or 8 gigs of ram, the AMD Quads will give Intel some good competition.

I have an AMD rig at the Bigmans with intel rigs and it does well and even better than some on here.

THe Game of building a good rig is only as good as its builder.
