I'm not sure, and i just wanna make sure before i take the risk. When i try connecting to the internet, the first thing my wii does it updating the firmware. I heard that doing this will destroy the wii chip (i think mine is wiikey, im not sure), and thus, you will not be able to play games from other regions. is this true?

Wrong forum but I'm curious what a chipped Wii can do that a normal one can't?

Yeah chipped wiis are basically so us poor british folk don't have to wait til july to get smash brothers, same way we don't get to play rock band on the xbox until the end of may.

props to sony for realising its always been a bad idea.

oh yeah, and wrong forum. :nono:

yes, not only will it destroy your chip but it will also knock up your sister and take all your money.
