That happens a lot. Rutgers University increased the president's salary 200% to $600,000 annually but tuition might increase upwards of 18% next year. A bunch of crap, but not illegal unfortunately.

That's the kind of sh*t that needs to be illegal, if your co's failing, that a management failure, there is no logical reason to reward failure.
