but seriously, look at whats going on. what could you possibly do to completely wipe out a product line thats just now hitting U.S. shelves than to be 'supposedly' the only source to leaked information on how the next product will be completely better and be here next month. its vicious and its what Inquirer does to both nvidia and microsoft at any opportunity they get.

fine. whatever.

but you guys in this forum are just way to smart to even begin to take it seriously. The people at nvidia are invested with their own money and time, nobody is leaking information to just one website about how much their current product sucks compared to their next product. Nor do they say things like 'ya our latest product sucks and your a sucker if you dont buy the R300' at a private exclusive meeting that only a single Inquirer reporter was able to slip into.. its all fluff. totally legal to print whatever wild drivel they want, its in our constitution, so dont think its impossible for them to be lying. goto any checkstand in the US to see what im talking about.

I know people who are cancelling their 9800 or nv30 orders because they honestly think that nv35 will be here next month AT THE LATEST. ya...because The Inquirer, alone, says so.

I appreciate the anarchist attitude at Inquirer that seeks to keep the over-bearing market hogs like MS or NVIDIA in check with their propoganda. i read their site too and enjoy it. but its never once been something to take seriously.

dont make your stock investments based on The Inquirer's data...but much more importantly, dont choose this summer's graphics solution for your gaming rig based on anything they have to say at all.

i just thought that this should be discussed.

Thank God, at least one person doesn't believe everything they said. You nailed on the head big time with how convientantly they are the only ones who leak this "Exclusive" info! Matt from 3DGPU and myself always commented their new material. I never post anything from them. They are truly the National Enquirer of the internet.

What is even more sad is sites linking to them! That one I could never explain.

The info regarding card availability I heard from the biggest video card distributor who was actually informed by Nvidia themselves to expect a new product to sell in June. He asked for a specific date but Nvidia didn't commit on that. All they said was expect a new product in June.

Can Uttar honk on my left nut?

Can I get credit for giving him credit?

Am I not a conundrum? :lol

heck, it's well known programmers got those pervert tendencies ( I'm no exception although the original idea of the patch really was seeing if it was possible )

Yeh, just look at my horse porno.

lets face it , it totally makes sense. currently there is no hi-end solution from nvidia, because lets face it...the DDR2 in nv30 is too damn expensive for them to build and its being bashed for too much heat and too much noise (currently inefficient in its implimentation anyway because or driver bugs like Aniso overhead).

but keep in mind that it could also very well be the 256MB versions of like the 5800 and 5600. is that possible Solomon?

Isn't there already a 256 meg 5600?

I have this feeling that the NV35 in its original form will last all of three to four months, replaced by something with a nice clockspeed bump to compete with R390.

Good Times, I guess.

I've heard something similar from a couple of different people, although i don't think it's anything concrete right now. More likely it's just a backup plan should the NV40 get delayed.

Actually, no. AFAIK, the 5600 Ultra doesn't have a 256MB model, only the 5600 Regular does, and that one is priced +- similarly to the 128MB 5600 Ultra.

Hmm, well I saw something being advertised as a "gfFX5600Ultra" and it had higher clocks and 256MB RAM. Whether this is the name of the actual card or if this is a reference design, I'm not sure.
