im not in any way flaming those that reference the Inquirer website. It makes for great discussion.

but seriously, look at whats going on. what could you possibly do to completely wipe out a product line thats just now hitting U.S. shelves than to be 'supposedly' the only source to leaked information on how the next product will be completely better and be here next month. its vicious and its what Inquirer does to both nvidia and microsoft at any opportunity they get.

fine. whatever.

but you guys in this forum are just way to smart to even begin to take it seriously. The people at nvidia are invested with their own money and time, nobody is leaking information to just one website about how much their current product sucks compared to their next product. Nor do they say things like 'ya our latest product sucks and your a sucker if you dont buy the R300' at a private exclusive meeting that only a single Inquirer reporter was able to slip into.. its all fluff. totally legal to print whatever wild drivel they want, its in our constitution, so dont think its impossible for them to be lying. goto any checkstand in the US to see what im talking about.

I know people who are cancelling their 9800 or nv30 orders because they honestly think that nv35 will be here next month AT THE LATEST. ya...because The Inquirer, alone, says so.

I appreciate the anarchist attitude at Inquirer that seeks to keep the over-bearing market hogs like MS or NVIDIA in check with their propoganda. i read their site too and enjoy it. but its never once been something to take seriously.

dont make your stock investments based on The Inquirer's data...but much more importantly, dont choose this summer's graphics solution for your gaming rig based on anything they have to say at all.

i just thought that this should be discussed.

Err, FYI, I'm one of the most vocal people about the NV35 being available maximum late June ( available meaning at least possible to order at online stores with little problems ) - and my info is NOT based on The Inquirer reports :)

The Inquirer definitively isn't wrong about that thing. The NV35 *is* gonna be there real soon. Of course, that's all according to nVidia's plan. But considering how much time has passed since the tape-out, my guess is that they aren't taking risks this time.

Which would signify that there'd be no serious reason for a real delay.

Now, I frankly got NO idea about all the "The NV30 didn't met our expectations at all" thing - but nVidia did recently say, during a conference call ( which is dated yesterday, actually ) that the "NV30 was underresourced due to the XBox" - so I wouldn't be surprised if it was for real.
The Inquirer's GPU info is getting more accurate those days. They've still got some very serious errors sometimes, but compared to a year ago, it's a LOT better.

I find your information interesting. but without hearing it a bit more broadly than a few forums and a shaky news site...well it takes a bit more than that to roll out a new product.

The product is exactly where nvidia says it is. on schedule and ready for viewing at E3 where it will follow the usual course of inked distribution deals and orders being ready for shelves by christmas. but cut their own legs out from underthemselves and release before the nv30 is fulfilled?

sounds interesting. but it doesnt happen with just Uttar and TheInquirer being privy to that information.

i know some of you think you know nvidia and their products even better then they do...but seriously. your just taking advantage of their policy to not discuss unreleased products and their delay on fulfillment of the nv30. ive found the ballooning of some as a source of information this summer to be amusing over the past months of uncertainty in the market.

so i guess im the one guy who is saying 'your full of ****. lets see what happens in June' risking the 'told you so' flames later.

but nobody here is even questioning this information?

i hope your right, but im not banking on forum chatter. I even question the nv35 specs and Det5.0 data. its all been fluff generated from the same small, 'exclusive' sources of information that suddenly all the enthusiast sites take as possible 'hush hush' rumors of truth.

no offense, I got money that says that one day we find out Uttar is really fifteen years old and put nvidia out of business on his own LOL.

i totally hope so. and im probably totally wrong.

but the idea that all of us just follow this very shaky series of 'leaked information' without at least some scepticism...

well thats scary.

Ah crap, sorry. :(

Deleted my post because I felt I'd already said it so many times in other posts.

Feb 18th.

It actually taped out Jan 9th so take a month of that prediction and :super:.

For the record, I questio, the Det5.0. ( DetFX ) data too. While it does seem rather rampant, I don't see any serious proof of it. The only good proof is Anand's post, but it might be at the same time as the NV36 or something. Although my guess is still on a launch at the same time as the NV35, though.

BTW, you *do* realize my age, right?

Well, d@mn...I guess I'm the old guy at 35. :( :p

NV will have no delays with the NV35.
They will meet demand this time.
They cannot afford a NV30 over again.
You can take that to the bank. :)

Yes... this is an online video card discussion forum... None of us have ever seen a girl or a basketball, let alone been to a party. What are these mystical things of which you speak? ;)

Seriously, it wasn't that long when I was 13 and on these forums. It feels like yesterday. I literally grew up on nVnews.

Now I am 18.
Scary eh?

Wow. He's only 14 years old??? That's even worse.

The number of people who say "It's 88, so it's 15 years old" is simply FRIGHTENING. I mean, I'm shocked! Being the first in Math in my class at school, I'm really, really scared :)

Doubt the nude patch counts though - heck, it's well known programmers got those pervert tendencies ( I'm no exception ;) although the original idea of the patch really was seeing if it was possible )

Yeah, I should get a fricking live... Would be a good thing, I guess...
Heck, I'd begin to look REAL bad if I didn't go out with a girl at least once when I'll be 16 :P Now that'd be embarassing.

An annoying thing is that I'm practically in the best class in 3rd year ( that's the Belgian system, not the US one, so no "What? Err? 14 and in 3rd Year?" , please ;) ) for girls - I mean, the number of really beautiful ones is simply frightening. Problem is, that means every single of them is aiming way too high. Okay, so that's seeing the bad side of life, but hey, I don't have the remind myself of the good one :D

Is it just me or is this thread's subject turning to be me?
