Man, I need to check my email account on Fyremoon more often. This was sent to me on April 1st and I just now got around to getting it...:(
I'm sorry to tell you all this, but I haven't been able to find a job. I can no longer afford this, so I will have to take drastic measures and pull the server.

I feel rotten. :(
I've known John (aka "Fyremoon") for quite a while now. He's from the UK and one of the most selfless, outgoing, and downright generous guys I've ever met. The state of the IT and Telecommunications industries are so horrible that many of these fine folks are losing their jobs one right after another...and John has been one of many casualties of such downsizing.
Fyremoon's been my host for 3-4 years and I never paid a nickle. John wouldn't have it. He'd give money away to someone in need faster than he'd accept it...even if he was in need. And with this news comes my own announcement - my rant page is going offline with Fyremoon.
The loss of a webhost doesn't bug me. Hell, I'm not even bothering at the moment looking for a new corner of the world for my website, to tell the honest truth. Changing hosts isn't anything that's new to me (from GeoCities to Xoom to Fyremoon) over the years.
What bugs the hell out of me is I'm absolutely powerless to help a friend in need who has helped so many others, including me (though not financially). My circumstances are just as grim as his own...:(
