Hi, I have a Debian box that has a NVIDIA Riva TNT2 Ultra that works ok, it has the latest NVIDIA drivers (including GLX) but recently I installed the game "race" and It starts, creates the windows and then closes saying something like this:

X Error of failed request: GLXBadRenderRequest
Major opcode of failed request: 142 (GLX)
Minor opcode of failed request: 1 (X_GLXRender)
Serial number of failed request: 34
Current serial number in output stream: 35

Somebody knows how to fix this? Please help me.

Note: I have also this files:

vik@snargle:/usr/lib$ ls libGL*
libGL.so libGL.so.1.0.4191 libGLU.so.1 libGLcore.so.1
libGL.so.1 libGLU.so libGLU.so.1.3 libGLcore.so.1.0.4191
vik@snargle:/usr/lib$

Thank you.

I have the same problem with my GF4 Ti4600 using 3123 driver. With the 4191 driver, it was crashing my Xserver. I tryed the latest driver (4363) and I have the same messages that with 3123.

You should complain to Nvidia about this problem by reporting it to linux-bugs@nvidia.com. The more people complain about this problem, higher are the chances that Nvidia fixes the bug once and for all.:argh:
