It seems that the EOL is in 3 months.

I assumed that was the case when they said the 9900GX2 was coming this summer.
Update: According to sources, 9900GX2 do not exist. We are sorry for the mistakes.

I hope that the GT200 isn't a dual 55nm G92 card. If not, where's the real next gen gpu ?
I brought one, and I like it!

BTH I don't think the 9900GX2 will be anything too different performance wise. Maybe a higher clocked, die shrunk G92!?

Same here. Definitely not a waste of money.
I don't see how someone could go wrong having a Intel chipset and wanting to get a 9800 GX2.

Well if i had 500€ to burn, sure why not.

The 9800GX2 is better then I expected. It's quiet, fast and problemfree and SLI scales quite wide spread (coming from quad CF).
It's a good card to hold over to the GT200/R700 to play Crysis the way I want.

I really doubt GT200 is a dual-G92 card.
GT200 is almost certainly the next-gen refresh.
The G80 and G92 are almost the same and can both be considered the NV50, going by Nvidia's oldest naming scheme.
The GT200 has more transistors, a billion or more, a revamped architecture, 512-bit bus, and can be concidered the NV55.
Now granted, GT200 will not be a totally new clean-sheet architecture like G80 was in 2006 and like NV40 was in 2004. Though GT200 should still be a new GPU, like NV47/G70 was a new GPU refresh from NV40.
I'd expect Nvidia's next totally new architecture in late 2009 or 2010.
That said, GT200 won't be another G92 respin or dual G92s.
