So I've used vista 64 for a long time now without any problems, but today I run into a strange error; when I set my ip manually I get a bsod saying that "driver_irql_less_or_equal". Using the automatic setting causes no such error. So what's up? It really doesn't affect me much but I do find it strange and there's certainly something wrong here?

I don't have any irq conflicts or anything like that, so it bothers me quite a bit.

Try replacing your network drivers. I was getting a BSOD everytime I'd boot my machine from the Hybrid Sleep Vista uses. Turns out the cause was some motherboard drivers my PC had found on Windows Update. I switched back to the 15.08s on the Nvidia site and all is good.

+1

driver_irql_less_or_equal is (as it states) a driver error/issue. try using a newer or older driver version.

Never use a driver from windows update. That is all.

I've turned off windows update and windows doesn't install any drivers for me anymore. I downloaded the newest version from nvidia.com, but something must have gone wrong.

Gonna try reinstalling and see if that fixes it. Thanks for the help! :)
