Try Rainbow Six Vegas 2 patched to 1.01. :D

oh btw to fix that mess, disable Dual GPU mode or run 173.67.

Or rename VegasGame2 to without the "2"?

174.93 has a vegas profile. Thats not it. YOU have to disable multi-GPU or run 173.67 with Vegas 2 1.01.

As far as 3Dmark and Crysis, 174.74 has been the fastest. I've tested 174.85, 174.88, and 174.93.

Rivatuner is broken for me with the GX2 on Vista 64, I get "not supported drivers detected for this display adapter" in driver settings, meaning I can't oc or change fan speeds. I did run 3Dmark06, and everything seemed ok, but I couldn't do a direct comparison without the higher clocks.

use rivatuners driver emulation mode.

In the power user tab, expand Rivatuner\System and look down the list for ForceDriverVersion, enter 444d (17485 in hex), then ok to exit.

Reopen rivatuner and it should be in driver emulation mode. It won't show the driver file versions, but you can still use the overclocking sliders etc.

I get flickering on flags in Assassin's Creed with 174.74 driver set. Does this particular driver fix that issue for AC?

Does this modified driver work with PowerDVD Ultra? I know earlier modded drivers wouldn't work, but then yous figured out something that fixed that in the modding.

yes, and this doesn't seem like modded driver, it has seperate inf files for desktop and seperate for mobile.

I still get glitchy shadows on palm fronds with the 174.93's just as I did with the 174.74's. Also, FSX DX9 performance has been horrible in every driver past 169.44 which is a bummer because FSX DX10 is a complete joke. The only thing keeping me from rolling back to the 169.44's is that I cannot force vsync or tripple buffering in Gears of War with those drivers and the game needs it because the screen trearing is horrible. Other than that I get the best IQ/FPS with the 169.44's.

I like these drivers, first set of 174 that I don't have problems with. :)

Huh? If you've got Vista x64 installed then use 64bit drivers and if you've got Vista x86 installed then use 32bit drivers...

I've been using Vista x64 exclusively for several months now and I'm never going back. It's been extremely stable and game performance matches what I was getting with x86. I figure with x64 I run anything that's coded for x86 and things that only seem to work with x64. If I go x86 then I'm stuck. In that sense x64 is, to me, the better choice.
